lyrics

Sometime in Autumn she blew to my door
A soft warm breeze from an alien shore
A light in the dark too bright to ignore
A map of the future and what it's for

Sometimes in Summer, in hidden view
We were the shadows of the budding yew
A shoe lost in mud, mud on the pew
Dew on the petals, till farther we blew
To shores that were new

Sometimes in Spring, the birds call our name
A caw, a twitter, sound the same
Fire in the river bend, a cool, molten flame
Sings to the sea, "Aren't you glad that we came?"

Sometime in Winter, despite failing light
Come ash and sand, come hastening night
Until the weather turns and crisp leaves take flight
The wind will blow warmly, the fire will burn bright
